Assumes narrow-beam geometry, monoenergetic photons, and no scatter buildup. For practical shielding, buildup factors and broad-beam conditions may significantly change results. For unit conversion between exposure and dose, this tool uses the approximation 1 mR ≈ 10 μSv for photon fields.
